Internship Role: Cyber Security Intern (VAPT)
Internship Summary
The Cyber Security Intern will work closely with senior security mentors to perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across multiple platforms. The role involves hands-on testing, reporting, research, client interaction, and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Intern, your responsibilities will include:
Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing
- Performing VAPT activities under senior mentor guidance
- Testing across:
- Network infrastructure
- Web applications
- Mobile applications
- APIs
- Cloud environments
- Identifying security weaknesses and misconfigurations
Reporting & Documentation
- Preparing detailed vulnerability assessment reports
- Documenting:
- Vulnerability descriptions
- Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Risk impact
- Severity ratings
- Writing clear workarounds and mitigation steps for identified vulnerabilities
Client Interaction
- Participating in client discussions on vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
- Assisting in explaining technical issues in a clear and professional manner
Research & Knowledge Sharing
- Researching latest vulnerabilities, exploits, and attack techniques
- Working on zero-day research for applications or products
- Writing technical blogs on emerging threats and technologies
- Delivering technical talks to internal teams
- Presenting webinars on new vulnerabilities or security approaches
