About the Role
As an SDET at VTEST, you will be responsible for both manual testing and automation scripting using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
Your goal? To ensure that our clients’ products are reliable, bug-free, and high-performing.
You’ll design robust automation frameworks, execute regression tests, collaborate closely with developers, and continuously improve the QA process. Your keen eye for detail and deep understanding of testing methodologies will help us build software that users can trust.
Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing Excellence
- Perform manual testing to validate new features and regression scenarios.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, and documentation.
Playwright Automation
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.
- Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
- Ensure automation covers critical business workflows and improves overall test efficiency.
Continuous Integration & Delivery
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and collaborate with developers for quick resolution.
- Ensure smooth test runs and provide detailed feedback to stakeholders.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document test cases, execution results, and performance metrics.
- Create informative, actionable test reports highlighting defects, coverage, and quality trends.
- Communicate test progress effectively with QA managers and product owners.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers in an Agile/Scrum setup.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Bring a quality-first mindset to every project discussion.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Skills
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Strong experience in Playwright for web test automation.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) for managing code and test scripts.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
